Day 4

We have been at this for a few days now and the shelves are looking a little empty. Really the shop just looks like a bomb has hit it! We have until Friday night to get all stock packed and off the premises and then on Saturday the hubbies and friends are coming in to move out the furniture. Sunday will be a cleaning day for Jodie and I, yuk, with key hand over on Monday and then Ciao to this shop. I'm sure we will be a little emotional about it eventually, but right now all we want is for it to be over.

I stopped by the new shop this morning, and I noticed some nose prints on the windows, have you girls been having a sticky beek? The workman are busily installing the ceiling and lighting. We have been told they should be finished mid next week, so keep your fingers crossed. Our signage will be going up soon as well, announcing our arrival to one and all.

Well the inks are calling out to me so I had better go and stock take them and then box them up. Send us lots of positive energy.

Take care

Boxes, boxes, boxes!

Well we are now into day 2 of packing up the shop and the place looks like a bomb has hit it! Michael Jackson playing in the background and laughter (you have to laugh or you'll cry).

I stopped in at the new shop today and the wonderful workmen are there putting in the ceiling, lights and aircon. Soon the flooring will be down and from then we will be able to get in and set up shop.

We are hoping that the time frame we were telling everyone will be a lot shorter, so keep your fingers crossed for us. We will keep you up to date via email and this blog so pop back regularly.

I had better go before Jodie gets out the whip! Save me from the boxes.....

Today is the day!

Well fellow flaunters, today is the day that we have shut the doors at William St. Now the fun really begins. Over the next few weeks Jodie and myself, with a little help from our friends will be working very hard on opening the new store in Kelmscott. We will be sending out progress emails and will endeavour to keep this blog updated.

There is still soooo much to do, but the important things have been arranged... demos for opening day, the cake and champagne, and most importantly the guest list, yes You! Other things that do need to be finalised are, council!!! and an opening date (very important).

We envisage that we will be closed for about 4 - 6 weeks, less if we can co-ordinated tradies and volunteers. So please persevere with us and we will see you in a few weeks.

Take care
Maureen
