Well finally I have done it!! I have completed the first challenge that was put out to you all. Have you done your "Goals for 09" page yet. If so email us a copy to scrapitflauntit@bigpond.com.au and we will add it to the blog.

My Goals for '09 are: Lose 15 kg's, Complete one page a week, Be more patient with my kids, Go to SA for a holiday, Pay off my credit cards, Fix up my house, Have more family time, Keep a more organised house and lastly, Look after myself better. 9 goals for '09.

I had lots of ideas for this page and finally at 1.00am in the morning it all became reality. (OK so I finished at 3.30am but hubby doesn't need to know that!!)

I am happy with my layout and challenged myself even more by having no photo and using the new "Bazzill Stitch Guide Rulers". I love this stitching guide. There are so many options and you can use a bit of the design or the whole design. A definate for your scrap tools. Leave some comments and let me know what you think.

I am now working to the next challenge of completing a page a week this year. I am only four pages behind so I better get myself organised and get going. Who is going to do this challenge with me?

Tonight we are holding a Scrap N Yap crop night and the ladies are all happily scrapping away.

We have a wonderful group of ladies who attend.

Crop nights are held on Saturday night and are a great time to get together and have time to scrap without any interruptions. Just $10 for six hours of crop time (scrapbooking time) with supper, tea and coffee included, plus a door prize, what else could you ask for. We have spaces for 15 people, which allows you a full table to yourself!! You need to reserve your spot on 9498 0097.

Better go and get the supper ready for the ladies, have a lovely Australia Day Weekend and see you in the shop soon.

Happy Scrapping

Are You Up to the Challenge???

Hi Ladies

Well I am back again and thought I would give you a quick peek at our Flaunters Pack for January (On the shelves Jan 20th!!)

I am using this pack to do my challenge. So don't forget you can join me and complete the first of the challenges for 2009. A page of "My Goals for 2009!"

I would love to get some feedback from you all on having a weekly or fortnightly challenge idea. This is a great way to get pages completed and we can all encourage each other.

The Flaunters packs are available on the 20th of each month and are a co-ordinated pack to help you. They are only $5.00 each.

The competition is to use a bit of everything from the pack (either altered or as is) to create a layout, card or OTP (Off The Page item). You can add what you feel needs to be added or alter what is given to you.

Submit your item to the shop by the 20th of the following month with a gold coin donation (which is raising funds for our favourite two charities!) The pages will be displayed for all to see and any person who spends $25 in the shop has the right to vote for their favourite piece of work. Voting is from the 21st till the 31st of the month with the winner being announced on the 1st of the following month.

What do you win??? A store voucher of course!!

So come in and grab a pack on the 20th and that is one page a month you will have done.

I am aiming to do 1 page a week for 2009!!! I havn't done any yet but I am up and running and will catch up this week hopefully!!!

Don't forget we have a Scrap N Yap crop night this Saturday the 17th of January!!

6 hours of bliss to sit and relax and complete your pages. You have a whole work bench to yourself, along with the workshop tools to use (Cricut machine, Sizzix, Bind It All, Cuttlebug Dies and Embossing Plates, Sewing Machine, Laptop Computer and A3 Colour Printer).

You also have included a light supper and a door prize. The best bit is no interruptions from family and a fantastic group of ladies to scrap with and bounce idea's off.

All this for just $10.00. But if you are a "Flaunter Member" then check your card as you may have a free crop ready and waiting for you!!

This would also be a great time to do a 6 x 6 page for "Southern Cross Kids Camps". This is a camp held for Children who are having problems in their life and gives them some "real" kid time.

We are aiming to have 1000 6x6 pages to give to the camp, and at present we have completed just over 600. We have supplies in the shop, so if you would like to contribute to this cause you can come in and sit done, complete a page to add to our collection. (All pages have to be decorated and ready for a photo to be added.)

Well back to work for me!! Don't forget to send us some comments as we would love to hear from you.

Happy Scrapping people!!!

The New Year has Begun!!!

Hi Ladies,

NEWSFLASH !!!! NEWSFLASH !!!!! NEWSFLASH !!!!! NEWSFLASH !!!!! NEWSFLASH !!!!!

That's right in 2009 we are again asking for applications for Design Team Members!!! What do you need to do? Submit to us 2 x single page layouts, 1 x double page layout, 1x Off the Page item and a card. Submissions need to be in by 6th of February with the announcements being made on 16th February - our 1st Birthday!!! So don't be shy ladies - apply - you never know!!

Well the new year is here and 2009 is upon us!! I have set my goals for the year and have already accomplished the first one - writing on the shop blog!!!! Hopefully the rest of the goals will come easy. This is a great thing to scrap and I challenge you all to do a "Goals for 09" page. I will attempt to do mine and post for you in the near future(she says!)

The team from the shop are rearing to go and looking forward to a busy and fantastic year.

We have changed a few things in the shop. The first being crop nights. We will now do fortnightly crops as of February. Every second month we will still hold our Extreme Crop as well as our two regular crops. Our first Extreme will be February the 28th. All crops will be on a Saturday and we look forward to catching up with you all. The crop nights are fantastic!! Six luxurious hours (12 for an Extreme) of scrapbooking!! A group of ladies getting together to create masterpieces in scrapbooking. The shop is open for you and best of all - no kids, no husbands , no interruptions!!!! What more can you ask for?? Phone and book your seat as they do fill quickly.

We also have some great new classes happening and are a must to see. Kylie's Amazing Canvas, Leonie's Fob Watch Album, Jodi B's Cluster and Stitching class just to name a few. Come into the shop and see the display of what will be happening!!!

We have also just started planning for our 2009 camp and have pencilled in The Queen's Birthday Weekend in September! So not three days of scrapping and pampering, but 4 days of scrapping and pampering!! I told you this year is going to be the best!!! We are taking names of interest down but still have to confirm all the details. Last years camp was full and so much fun, so get in quick and don't miss out.

Also put the weekend of the 14th, 15th and 16th of February in your diary!! Our very first birthday!!! And what a year it has been. Full of friendships, suprises and so much more. On the Sunday we are planning to have our birthday cake and demonstrations, as well as door prizes. We hope to see you then to help us celebrate, if not before.

We are very sad to say that Susan Hansord has stepped down from teaching and our design team due to family commitments and work. Susan will still be visiting us in the shop lots and we just want to say a huge thankyou to her. Susan your work is truly amazing!!! This is one very talented lady and we wish her all the best!!! We are also very, very jealous as she is going to America and also to some fantastic classes while she is over there. So Susan you better visit us after your trip with all your work and the goodies you picked up.

Just a reminder that this months Flaunter Pack will be available from the 20th of January!! Another great chance to win a store voucher. We will try and bring you some snippets of the winner from last month. The packs are only $5.00, with a gold coin donation to enter. Just remember you have to use a little bit of everything that you receive in the pack, but the pack items can be altered!!!

Well it is time to go so will blog a bit more tomorrow.

Take care and happy scrapping!!!

Jodie
