Our Official Opening

I forgot the most important thing...

We will be officially opening on Saturday the 27th of March. We have lots of great things planned, with demos, giveaways and cake.

The other exciting news is that to celebrate the new shop and to make up for having to postpone our Scrap N Yaps, we will be holding an Extreme Crop on Sunday the 28th of March from 10am to 10pm. The cost is $20 and includes afternoon tea, dinner and supper. So call and put your name on the list, as soon as possible.

Our new phone number is 93901002. You can leave a message and we will get back to you.

Sitting in the shop...

Hi Fellow Flaunters,

That's right, I am sitting here in the shop, using the shop computers, blogging! Today, Saturday, our darling Hubbies have been slogging away, putting together cupboards, drilling holes to hang things and many more wonderful things.

The best thing of all is that dear, darling Steve came and got our computers up and running! Thank you, thank you Steve. Now we are networked, debugged, ADSL'd and everything else we need to be. Ladies we are officially back on line!

It is very quiet here at the moment with just me hang around to type this, Jodie and Rose will be back later to keep at it. We are currently focused on getting stock on the shelves, so now we are looking more like a scrapbook store and less of a refuge for wayward boxes.

That's all for now
Take care

It's all coming together

Like the title says...it's all coming together. When you drive past the shop you will see our fabulous sign. Col has done an outstanding job and we have to give him a big thank you, plus pay him I guess!!!

What has been happening over the last few days at the shop...

I found the box with the phones in it so now you can contact us on 9390 1002.

The paritioning has gone up. We have an office, which means we now can get the computers going, a stock room (Rose is very happy about that) and the kitchen (we can now organise it and maybe make a hot drink or two).

Stock started going on the shelves today, this is a BIGGGG job. Jodie is focused on this and the ordering, lucky girl!!

We can't give you an opening date as the electricals are done yet, but as soon as we know you will know too.

Happy Scrapping

Another update...

Just a quick update for you all. The shelving has now been erected and the shop is taking shape. Jodie has been busy ordering new product. We are now under a bit of pressure to get everything done so that we can reopen. We have already had people coming by wanting to know when the official opening will be... we will keep you posted.

It's all happening at Kelmscott

Yesterday thanks to our darling husbands and some lovely friends, we moved all our fittings into the shop and most of the stock. Now all we have to do is set it all up, get stock on the shelves and then open the doors to all our patient and loyal customers.

Col the sign writer is putting up our sign this weekend, so then everyone will know that we have moved in.

We are still waiting on the electrician, phone tech and computer people, so we haven't got a firm date for opening... stay tuned.

An Update

Hi everyone,

Well things are progressing nicely at Kelmscott (touch wood!), and we are hoping to reopen our doors sooner than anticipated. The carpet is in, the painting is done and tomorrow we begin moving all our fittings etc in, although we are still waiting on an electrician and telephone person.

Well that is all for this update, short and sweet.

Take care
Maureen

Goodbye Armadale...Hello Kelmscott

Yesterday Jodie and I met with the real estate agent and handed over the keys to the old shop. The last two weeks have been full on for us and our staff. It is amazing how much we accumulated at the shop and how much ended up in the bin!

We would like to take the opportunity to thank all who helped us with the pack up. Our staff who kindly gave of their time to help, our friends who came in especially Dave, Micheal, Karen, Sharon and Tiff. Our patient, understanding children, who put up with us being at the shop till all hours and who also came down and helped in each their own special ways. Lastly our hubbies, who lugged all the fittings and stock to our homes, knowing that they will be doing it all again next weekend!

We are excited by the thought that we will be moving into the new shop this weekend, as long as the workmen have finished all their duties. There is still a lot for us to do, computers need sorting, electricals done, walls put in and cupboards built. Once these are done we have to put out all our stock, with Jodie ordering new products for us all to play with!

We will be announcing the official opening date in the next few days, so stay tuned.

Maureen
