Hello Fellow Flaunters,

Once again the week has flown by and its Friday. At this rate I'll be another year older, but probably not wiser! It's our Scrap N Yap weekend so if you are in need of a scrapping fix then call us and reserve your table. The Scraps are great fun with lots of laughter and silliness. There is also a doorprize and a yummy supper all for $10. Jodie sent out our April class schedule earlier this week and we have some great classes coming up, especially for the kids during the holidays.

Places are filling fast for the "Your Creative Journey" classes with Ngaire and Jilly in August, more details are below. Register and pay in full before 1st May 2011 and you will go into the draw for a $50 gift voucher!

"Mandurah” Down Memory Lane

Sat 2nd April 1pm $25.00

Join Jodie as she helps you create a page for your album. Using punches, the sewing machine, metal, distress embossing powders, canvas and whitewash, you will create a unique page that can be used for any occasion.

Scrapbooking Starters Class with Shaya Step 1 Wed Night 6th April 7pm $5.00 Are you wanting to learn how to scrapbook, then join Shaya as she takes you on a magical journey teaching the basics of scrapbooking to you. Learn how to use the basic tools, the tricks of the trade and many wonderful techniques. In this first class you learn how to use your trimmer, corner rounder, adhesives, patterned papers, using the Sizzix machine and much more. Don’t bring anything except your photo’s as we provide all!!

We have joined with "Your Creative Journey" to bring Ngaire Bartlam and Jilly Geraghty-Groves to Perth. Gutsy Girl Classes Monday 29th August 2011 11am - 2pm or 6pm to 9pm $105 each Register and pay in full before the 1st of May 2011 and you will go into the draw for a $50 gift voucher! Come on a Journey with Ngaire & Gilly, two very talented interstate scrapbookers. They visit us in August for two very different classes! You will learn techniques that can be applied to all paper crafts!! All materials are included and enjoy a light morning tea or supper with the class as well as door prizes and special discount for attendees.

About Ngaire: A veteran Australian mixed media artist and lapsed scrapbooker of over 11 years experience, I have authored two books: "Lumpy Bumpy" and “It’s all about YOU”. I regularly create for the pure love of it , rise to the challenge of guest design spots, as well as authoring my own blog www.scrapblogmebaby.typepad.com and run ARTCORPS: art days for gutsy girls classes with my partner in crime Jill GG. I am a freelance artist and instructor, specializing in the larger classes of conventions.

About Gilly: A self taught mixed media artist and photographer based in Brisbane. Her love of art commenced when she started scrapbooking in late 2005 which developed into her passion for mixed media and photographer. Jill's ability to see what others do not and eye for detail makes her mixed media work unique. Jill has an uncanny ability to read people thus her customised works never fail to surprise. Book of Art - Monday 29th 11am-2pm "Book of Art”- make your own miniature (approx 6x4") art journal with an amazing silhouette cover and stitched binding. A combination of cool pages and unusual media makes for a very cool "self expression" piece. Learn to book bind with wax thread, create an arty silhouette front cover to die for and learn the many ways you can use almost anything to create a book. Gutsy girl class members are invited to bring any items they may like to add to their own class projects.

Kind Hearted - Monday Night 29th August 6pm-9pm “Kind Hearted “ - an 8x8 " reverse canvas with enclosed 3d homespun heart. Includes loads of layering, 3d texture making using impasto medium, crackle mediums and more. Lots of organic surfaces and grungy love in this little beauty, perfect for hanging on a wall or sitting on a shelf or mantle.
