About Ngaire: A veteran Australian mixed media artist and lapsed scrapbooker of over 11 years experience, I have authored two books: "Lumpy Bumpy" and “It’s all about YOU”. "Book of Art”- make your own miniature (approx 6x4") art journal with an amazing silhouette cover and stitched binding. A combination of cool pages and unusual media makes for a very cool "self expression" piece. Learn to book bind with wax thread, create an arty silhouette front cover to die for and learn the many ways you can use almost anything to create a book.
Gutsy girl class members are invited to bring any items they may like to add to their own class projects

“Kind Hearted “ - an 8x8 " reverse canvas with enclosed 3d homespun heart.
Includes loads of layering, 3d texture making using impasto medium, crackle mediums and more. Lots of organic surfaces and grungy love in this little beauty, perfect for hanging on a wall or sitting on a shelf or mantle.

It is a great opportunity to spend time with your kids as this is a class for adults and children. We also have a crop on tomorrow night with some places still available, it is also the last one Jodie will be hosting for a while, so come along a spend some time with her. It's hard to believe that Easter is almost here, we have decided to close for the whole of the Easter Weekend, so that we can spend time with our families too. Newsletter 25/2/11
Hello Fellow Flaunters,
20 Days of over 30'c and still counting! It weird how Mother Nature is really showing us who is boss, I truly believe that we need to understand that like children this earth is only on loan to us and we need to care for it. Watching the news all week and seeing the devastation in New Zealand, our thoughts have been with everyone who has been affected by this tragedy.
On to happier things... Last weekend we celebrated 3 years of Scrap It Flaunt It. We had lots of fun here at the shop with ladies scrapping till the wee hours of the morning. Throughout the weekend we had random specials and lots of savings to be had. We have some great photos and I will be posting them soon, I promise!

This is a class where you will have fun and get a "little" messy. You will start to think in new ways to add individuality to your pages. On the day there will be specials, discounts and giveaways for everyone. Please note that the Flaunters Card "free class" reward cannot be redeemed for this event. Bookings can be made over the telephone with a credit card. Call us on 93901002 to reserve your spot, a $50 deposit at time of booking will be required to secure your place.

Jill offers an eclectic collection of mixed media works which are sure to delight the most discerning critic.

Monthly Cricut Club
THIS Sunday, 30th January - 12.30pm
Intro to the Cricut and Design Studio. $15
Come and join Cath as she guides you through the Cricut and Design Studio. If you have a Cricut that you barely use or have received one for Christmas then this class is perfect for you. Cath is a genius when it comes to all things Cricut and will spend the afternoon explaining the functions and versatility of the Cricut. All you need to bring is your Cricut, Design Studio & laptop (if you have one), your cartridges and your basic tool kit. Remember if you purchased your Cricut from us your class is free!

Using three cartridges Cath will help you create a card and cute little bag for that token of affection you may want to give someone. I never knew the potential for this machine and the bag and flowers that Cath created are amazing. This is the first of some great classes that she has planned for you. Jill Geraghty-Groves is a self taught mixed media artist and photographer based in Brisbane, Australia. Her love of art commenced when she started scrapbooking in late 2005 which developed into her passion for mixed media and photographer. Jill's ability to see what others do not and eye for detail makes her mixed media work unique. Jill has an uncanny ability to read people thus her customised works never fail to surprise. She adds the most minute details to bring a piece to life. Jill is an experienced teacher, teaching to both small intimate classes and large conventions both in Australia and New Zealand. Her approach is personal and relaxed and she adores giving people the courage to create what they never thought possible. Jill does not shy away from the dramatic and has been known to create amazing conversation pieces incorporating all manner of vintage and found objects. Jill offers an eclectic collection of mixed media works which are sure to delight the most discerning critic.
Ngaire Bartlam is a veteran Australian mixed media artist and lapsed scrapbooker of over 11 years experience, who has authored two books: "Lumpy Bumpy" and “Its all about YOU”. She is a freelance artist and instructor., specializing in the larger classes of conventions and the intimate classes of local stores. Her style is eclectic and breaks the rules, using lots of vintage finds and fabrics, texture and embellishment. Ngaire likes to have fun with creating, and as such, her classes are all about enjoying the process as well as loving the end result. Her passion is to encourage all class members to open themselves to the creative process.. . and to please themselves first and foremost when making art.

Come and join Cath as she guides you through the Cricut and Design Studio. If you have a Cricut that you barely use or have received one for Christmas then this class is perfect for you. Cath is a genius when it comes to all things Cricut and will spend the afternoon explaining the functions and versatility of the Cricut. All you need to bring is your Cricut, Design Studio & laptop (if you have one), your cartridges and your basic tool kit. Remember if you purchased your Cricut from us your class is free!

Using three cartridges Cath will help you create a card and cute little bag for that token of affection you may want to give someone. I never knew the potential for this machine and the bag and flowers that Cath created are amazing. This is the first of some great classes that she has planned for you. Hello Fellow Flaunters,
Does anyone feel that we are rushing towards Christmas? I've spotted Christmas decorations in the shops and next we will be hearing Christmas Carols and Santa's "Ho Ho Ho". Do I sound like the Grinch? I have to admit I have become the sort of person who leaves their Christmas shopping until the last two weeks and then rushes around like a madman! I don't see any reason to change as it worked well for me in the past.

Does anyone feel that we are rushing towards Christmas? I've spotted Christmas decorations in the shops and next we will be hearing Christmas Carols and Santa's "Ho Ho Ho". Do I sound like the Grinch? I have to admit I have become the sort of person who leaves their Christmas shopping until the last two weeks and then rushes around like a madman! I don't see any reason to change as it worked well for me in the past.
We are very excited to welcome Shaya as the newest member of our team. Shaya will be joining us in the shop on Saturdays and brings with her a creative and eclectic style.

Tonight we have a workroom filled with ladies enjoying some quality cropping time. If you are interested in any of these cartridges then come in and order them. Stock is limited.
CLASSES
We are introducing a new reward for classes. Each teacher will have a raffle for their class. To have tickets in the raffle you need to book and pay in advance for the class. That is, if you book in 3 weeks in advance then you will receive 3 tickets in the draw, if you book in 2 weeks then you receive 2 tickets and 1 week you will receive 1 ticket.
Booking Conditions
1. Payment is required upon making a booking
2. If you need to cancel a full refund can be credited to your account or transferred to another booking if more than 24 hours notice is given. Funds will be forfeit after this time as classes and crops (Scrap n Yaps) are prepared according to the number of bookings and it can be difficult to fill that space at short notice.
3. Funds cannot be refunded in cash or eftpos

Trimmer, Scissors, Ruler, Pencil, Eraser, Double sided adhesive tape, Pens, cutting Mat, Glossy Accents, black or Brown Ink, Glue, Sand Paper or Sanding Block, Tweezers, Craft knife, Foam or Paint Brush.
Kids School Holidays Fun
Mum’s take advantage of our teachers to give you a break these holidays, we are running 4 classes and 2 crops. Drop the kids in and go have a coffee next door or up the road. Please note that children under the age of 8 years old need to be accompanied by an adult.

Send the kids along for this fun class were they get to play with paper, embellishments and ink… and you don’t have to clean up the mess! All they need to bring with them is 6 photos that can be cropped, their tool kit and some PVA glue.

Paula has come up with an album where cork and chipboard collide. We will have more details for you next week.

Jodie has been having fun with Prima flowers, stitching, embossing and inking and created this stunning layout. You will learn lots of techniques in this class and have a laugh along the way.

We are introducing a new reward for classes. Each teacher will have a raffle for their class. To have tickets in the raffle you need to book and pay in advance for the class. That is, if you book in 3 weeks in advance then you will receive 3 tickets in the draw, if you book in 2 weeks then you receive 2 tickets and 1 week you will receive 1 ticket.
Booking Conditions
1. Payment is required upon making a booking
2. A full refund can be credited to your account or transferred to another booking only with more than 24 hours notice of cancellation. Funds will be forfeit after this time as classes and crops (Scrap n Yaps) are prepared according to the number of bookings and it can be difficult to fill that space at short notice.
3. Funds cannot be refunded in cash or eftpos

A belated Happy Easter! Did the Easter Bunny leave lots of eggs for you? We have been very busy here at the shop and not had time to eat our stash (LOL). WISH LISTS – for those with family and friends who don’t know what to buy you! All you have to do is come into the shop and fill out your list, let them know to contact us and we will do the rest!!!
8 WEEK LAY BY – Available to all with only a 10% deposit followed by with regular payments.
CHILDRENS & ADULTS BIRTHDAY PARTIES – We work with you to plan a project for the attendees. We will supply the teacher, product, lollies on the tables as well as a small gift for the birthday child. You can bring along the party food or cake for after the lesson. Call the shop for more details.

3. Funds cannot be refunded in cash or eftpos

A belated Happy Easter! Did the Easter Bunny leave lots of eggs for you? We have been very busy here at the shop and not had time to eat our stash (LOL). The response to our move has been overwhelming and we would like to thank everyone who has come in to support us and to shop. CLASSES**
We are introducing a new reward for classes. Each teacher will have a raffle for their class. To have tickets in the raffle you need to book and pay in advance for the class. That is, if you book in 3 weeks in advance then you will receive 3 tickets in the draw, if you book in 2 weeks then you receive 2 tickets and 1 week you will receive 1 ticket.

Each week Maggie and Jodie will teach you a new technique using tags to create your technique library. The first ½ hour to hour of the class is learning with the following time to enjoy scrapping your own pages. Coffee and Cake included!!
